Privacy Policy
Effective
This policy explains what NetsPositive, LLC (“NetsPositive”, “we” or “us”) collects when you visit netspositive.com, use your account or start a trial or subscription. It also explains how we use it, who else handles it and the choices you have.
It goes with our Terms of Use.
In short
- You sign in with your email address or Google. There are no passwords.
- We keep your email address, your metros, your saved deals, notes and searches, a record of each sign-in, how you found us, a record of what you agreed to and, if you turn on texts, your mobile number.
- Payments go through Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe's page, and we never see your full card number.
- Cookies keep you signed in, remember which link or website brought you here and hold your privacy choices. Google Analytics counts visits with its own cookies, unless you turn it off. Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel set theirs, which can be used for advertising, only if you allow them.
- We email you sign-in codes when you ask, an invitation if we set up your account, a welcome when each metro is ready and emails about your trials, subscriptions and free access. Daily digests and texts come only if you turn them on.
- We do not sell your personal information. If you allow Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel, Microsoft and Meta can use what they collect on our pages for advertising, which some state laws call “sharing”. We load neither until you choose Accept in our cookie notice or All on Your privacy choices. While your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we load none of Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel.
- We keep billing records for at least 7 years, even after you delete your account.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Account & billing. Choose which analytics tools load on Your privacy choices. Email hello@netspositive.com for a copy of your data or to delete your account.

What we collect
When you sign in
- Your email address. Asking for a sign-in code creates your account with your email address straight away, even if you never enter the code. If we set up your account for you, we create it with your email address, the first name we were given and the metros we give you free access to, and email you an invitation. If we know you, we may also keep your name, email address, how we know you, the metro we mean to give you, a line we write just for you in the invitation and our own notes, before and after we invite you.
- Your Google profile, if you continue with Google. Google shares your email address, name and profile picture with us, and our sign-in provider stores them with your account. We use only your email address and your first name, which greets you in our emails. We do not use or show your picture.
- A record of each sign-in: when it happened, whether you used an email code or Google, your IP address, and your browser's user agent, which describes your browser and device. Your account also keeps when it was created, when you last signed in and how many times you have signed in.
- Your agreement to our terms. After your first sign-in, and again when our terms change in a way that matters, we ask you to agree to our Terms of Use and acknowledge this policy. We record which versions you agreed to and when, with your email address at the time, your IP address and your browser's user agent.
When you use NetsPositive
- The metros on your account: each metro you subscribe to, and each metro we give you free access to, with when that access starts and ends, why and by which of us it was given, and any note we add. If you ask for a metro we do not cover yet, we record that your account asked for it.
- During a free look, before your first trial starts, which properties you opened in the metro you chose, to count the free look and to keep each person to one free look. We keep this with your account.
- Deals you save, with a snapshot of the price and numbers when you saved them, and any private note you add.
- Searches you save: the name, the filters, whether daily email or texts are on, and which listings matched, so we can tell you what is new.
- When we set up your account and sent your invitation, if we did, and which of us did; when we sent the email saying each metro was ready; and when you saved each deal and search. For each saved search, we also keep when it was last checked, how many listings matched, which new matches are waiting for the next email, when it last emailed you, when you turned its texts on and when it last texted you.
- Messages you send us, including replies to our emails.
We do not save what you type into the address search to your account or our database, with one exception. When you ask us to check whether an address we do not track is for sale, we keep that check for two days: the address you asked about, what we found, and how many lookups it used. We keep it to hold each account to a daily number of checks and to avoid paying twice for the same check, and then we delete it. A home a check finds for sale is added to our listings like any other listing, without any link to you. Each search is sent to our server as part of the request's web address, so it can appear in our host's request logs and in the error reports and timing data described below.
Our public Homes for sale pages are about homes listed for sale: each shows a listing's address, price and details. They hold nothing about the people who use NetsPositive, and a home gets a page only when our listing updates find it for sale, never because someone checked its address.
We list those pages in our sitemaps for search engines, and once a day we tell the search engines that take IndexNow notices, such as Microsoft Bing, which of them are new or have a new price. A notice holds the web addresses of those pages and nothing else.
When you start a trial or subscribe
- What you enter on Stripe's page: your card details, the name on the card, your email address and, when Stripe asks for it, your billing address. Stripe keeps your card details; we never receive your full card number or security code.
- What Stripe sends us: an ID for you as Stripe's customer; for each subscription, its metro, price, status and dates (when its trial starts and ends, when it renews, when it is cancelled and when it ends); whether each payment went through, failed, was refunded or was disputed; and your card's brand and last four digits. Stripe also sends a code that identifies your card without revealing its number, and whether the card came from a digital wallet. We use those two only to give each person one free trial.
- What we send Stripe: your email address, an ID for your NetsPositive account, the metro and price you chose and a reference number for what you agreed to. The metro's name appears on your receipts.
- What you agreed to. When you start a trial or subscription, we record what our page showed you, the box you ticked, the price, trial dates and metro, when you did it, your IP address and browser's user agent, and Stripe's record that you accepted our terms at checkout. When you cancel, we record when, how and for which metro, and your IP address and user agent if you cancel on our site.
- One free trial per person. When a trial starts, we record the account, the email address in a form that ignores capital letters and a +tag (and, in a Gmail address, dots) and the code that identifies the card. Free access uses up the free trial, so when we give you free access we keep the same record of the account and email address, without a card.
- The checkouts you start: which metro, the price and trial end we offered, and whether you finished.
- The billing emails we send you: who each went to and when, and the facts it stated, such as the metro, price and dates and the card's brand and last four digits.
If you turn on texts
- Your mobile number and your time zone, which your browser gives us, so texts wait for daytime where you are.
- The code we text to confirm the number, kept only in scrambled form until it is used, or until a day after it expires.
- Which saved searches text you, and which listings we have texted you, so no listing is texted to you twice.
- The texts we send you and whether they arrived, and your replies to our texts.
- The record of your consent: the words shown, the box ticked, the number, the time and your IP address and browser. We also record when, and from which IP address and browser, the code was entered. When texts are turned off, or back on by a reply, we record when, how and why. For a reply, we keep which one it was (its message ID), not its words. When we're asked to stop texting a number, we also put it on a list of numbers we don't text, with when and how we were asked, until a START reply comes from it.
How you found us
If you arrive from a link with campaign tags, from an ad or from another website, we note the campaign tags, the ad's click ID if there is one, the name of the website that sent you (never the page), the page you landed on and the time. We keep this in two cookies (see Cookies) and copy it into your account once, at your first sign-in. It does not change after that. A direct visit sets neither cookie.
Automatically
- Page views. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. Each page view sends the page's address, including any filters or campaign tags in it, and the page that linked to it. From your IP address and browser details, Vercel works out your approximate location, device type, browser and operating system. It does not use cookies.
- Google Analytics. Unless you turn it off or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal (see Your choices and requests), Google Analytics counts visits for us on every page but our admin pages. For each page you open, your browser sends Google the page's address, the page you came from, your browser and device details and a random ID kept in its cookies. Google works out your approximate location from your IP address. The address keeps only campaign tags and ad click IDs from what follows its “?”, so your filters, your email address and payment references are left out. Another website you came from is named by its domain only. Google also gets the page's title on our front page, Pricing, our Homes for sale pages, our Terms of Use, this policy and Your privacy choices; on a home's page, the title names its street address. Every other page, such as a deal page or your account, goes to Google titled just “NetsPositive”. Google Analytics also records when you click through from a Homes for sale page to see a home's numbers, when you sign up (and whether with an email code or Google) and when you start a trial or a subscription. For a subscription without a free trial, it also gets the price. It can also note how far down a page you scroll and which links to other websites you follow. It never gets your name, email address, mobile number or account ID, what you type into a search or the numbers you enter in the calculator. We tell Google not to use any of it for advertising. Google explains its part in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Microsoft Clarity, only if you allow it. Clarity records how you use our front page, Pricing and our Homes for sale pages: clicks, taps, scrolls, mouse movement and each page as it appeared to you, which Microsoft turns into recordings and heatmaps for us. If you're signed in, the parts of those pages about your account, such as your newest saved search, your account's links and what we offer your account, are masked: Clarity gets their layout only. It never records what you type into a form. It stops as you leave those pages and records no other page, such as the deals or your account, though its last report from a page you leave can carry the address of the page you go to. Microsoft also receives each page's address (never one with your email address or a payment reference in it), the page you came from, your browser and device details, your IP address and a random ID kept in Clarity's cookies.
- The Meta Pixel, only if you allow it. It tells Meta when you open our front page, Pricing or one of our Homes for sale pages (for a home's own page, with the home's ID), when you click through from one to see a home's numbers, when you sign up and when you start a trial or a subscription (with its price). With each, Meta receives the page's address (never one with your email address or a payment reference in it), the page you came from, your IP address, your browser details and the random IDs in its cookies. Meta can connect them with a Facebook or Instagram account you have. We never send Meta your name, email address or mobile number.
- Error reports. When something breaks, a report goes to Sentry. It holds the error, with its technical details and where in our code it happened, the address of the page or request, your browser and device details, and the page that linked to it. A report from your browser also holds its language and time zone settings and a short trail of recent activity on the page, such as pages loaded, clicks and requests, with their web addresses. A report from our servers can also include the other headers of the request that failed, such as the ones naming your browser and the page that linked to it. Reports leave out your IP address and the approximate location our host works out from it, your cookies, the data a request was sending (such as a note, a search, a reply to our texts or a payment notice from Stripe), and the request headers that carry a credential or a signature. Web addresses in a report lose the email address a link in one of our emails can carry and the reference of a Stripe checkout, and any other email address or mobile number in a report is replaced by a placeholder. Sentry also receives these request details, with timing data, for a sample of requests to our servers.
- Page-load records. Each time a page loads or its address changes, as when you open another page or change filters, your browser sends Sentry a short record so we can see how often errors happen: a random ID, your browser and device details, and whether an error happened. It does not include the page's address or your IP address.
- Server logs. Our host, Vercel, handles every request to the site, including your IP address, browser details, cookies and the page you ask for, and keeps logs of those requests.
What we do not collect
- Passwords. There are none.
- Your full card number or security code. You enter them on Stripe's page, and Stripe never gives them to us.
- Your age or date of birth.
How we use your information
- To sign you in, keep you signed in, and keep accounts and the site secure.
- To run your account: show the deals in your metros and keep your saved deals, notes and searches.
- To run your trials and subscriptions: to give you the metros you pay for or that we give you, to count the properties you open during a free look, to charge the price you agreed to and to keep each person to one free trial.
- To keep tax and accounting records, to handle refunds and payment disputes and to prevent fraud.
- To keep a record of what you agreed to and when, so we can show it if there is ever a question about it.
- To send the emails described under Emails.
- To send the texts described under Text messages, if you turn them on, and to stop them when you or your carrier ask.
- To learn which links, campaigns, ads and websites bring people who sign up, start a trial or subscribe, and which pages people use.
- To see how people use our pages, so we can make them better: Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics count visits, and Microsoft Clarity, if you allow it, shows us recordings and heatmaps.
- To measure our ads and, if you allow the Meta Pixel, to show our ads on Meta's apps, such as Facebook and Instagram, to people who have visited our pages.
- To find and fix errors and keep the site working.
- To answer you when you write to us.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, which means ads based on what you do on other sites, only if you allow it: if you choose Accept in our cookie notice, or All on Your privacy choices, Microsoft and Meta can use what Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel collect on our pages for advertising, which some state laws call “sharing”. We load neither tool without that choice, and while your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we load none of Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel. Google (for Google Analytics, the map, Street View and Google sign-in), Cloudflare (for the bot check), Stripe (on its checkout and billing pages) and, if you allow their tools, Microsoft and Meta collect information straight from your browser under their own policies (see Analytics, maps, sign-in, payment pages and photos from other sites).
If you dispute a charge with your bank, we give Stripe records showing what you signed up for, when you agreed to our terms and when you signed in, so Stripe can pass them to your bank.
Who else handles it
A few companies run parts of NetsPositive for us and handle your information to do it:
- Supabase runs sign-in and our database, which holds your account, saved deals, notes, searches and sign-in records, and your metros, billing records and records of what you agreed to. If you turn on texts, it also holds your mobile number and the texts we send you. Supabase also keeps its own sign-in records and logs, which include IP addresses. When you ask for a sign-in code, your browser sends your email address straight to Supabase.
- Vercel hosts the site and runs our server code. Every request passes through it, and it keeps request logs and counts page views.
- Google provides Google sign-in, if you choose it; Google Workspace (Gmail), which sends our emails and keeps copies of what we send and the replies we get; Google Analytics, which counts visits for us, unless you turn it off; the map on deal pages and Homes for sale pages; and Street View photos on deal pages.
- Cloudflare runs the bot check on the sign-in page. When you continue with Google, our server sends Cloudflare your IP address to confirm the check.
- Sentry receives the error reports, page-load records and timing data described above.
- Stripe processes our payments. It runs the checkout and billing pages you use to start a trial or subscription, update your card and see invoices, and it emails receipts and payment notices for us. It collects your card, contact and billing details and information about your device, such as your IP address. Stripe handles this for us as our service provider. It also uses it on its own account, for purposes such as preventing fraud and meeting its legal duties, under the Stripe Privacy Policy. If checkout offers you Link, Stripe's service for saving payment details, and you use it, Stripe's terms cover your Link account. We don't offer Link for free trials.
- Twilio delivers our texts and receives replies; it gets your mobile number and each text, and keeps its own record of each text under its own retention settings.
If you allow them, two more companies receive information from our pages:
- Microsoft runs Microsoft Clarity. It keeps the recordings and heatmaps for us, and it also uses what Clarity collects on its own account, including for advertising, under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Meta runs the Meta Pixel, a web beacon that works with Meta's cookies to collect information from our pages. Meta uses that information to measure ads and to choose who sees them, ours and other companies'. It also uses it for its own purposes, under the Meta Privacy Policy.
Our database is hosted in the United States.
The services that supply listing data and rent estimates receive property details only, never information about you.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it. If NetsPositive or its assets are sold or transferred, your information, except your mobile number and your consent to texts, may be transferred as part of that sale.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as delivering texts, is permitted. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Analytics, maps, sign-in, payment pages and photos from other sites
Some parts of our pages load straight from other companies' servers, and some steps take you to their pages. Your browser then contacts those companies directly, and they receive your IP address and browser details under their own policies.
- Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel. Their scripts load from Google's, Microsoft's and Meta's servers, and your browser sends what they collect straight to those companies (see What we collect). Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel load only if you allow them.
- Google Maps. Deal pages and our Homes for sale pages can show a Google map of the listing. When the map loads, Google receives the request, along with any Google cookies you have, under the Google Privacy Policy. To place the pin, we send Google the listing's street address, so Google can tell which home you are looking at. Our page tells Google only that the map was loaded from netspositive.com, not the page's own address or your filters. Google may show ads in the map.
- Google Street View. When a deal page opens, our server sends Google the listing's street address to ask whether a Street View photo of it exists; that request carries nothing about you. Your browser loads the photo from Google only if you choose to see it, and Google then receives that request, along with any Google cookies you have, under the Google Privacy Policy.
- The sign-in page. Cloudflare's bot check and Google's Continue with Google button both load from those companies' servers for everyone who opens the sign-in page, whether or not you use them.
- Stripe's checkout and billing pages. To start a trial or subscription, update your card or see invoices, you go from our site to pages Stripe runs, on checkout.stripe.com and billing.stripe.com. Stripe receives your IP address, browser details and what you enter there, and sets its own cookies, under the Stripe Privacy Policy. Our server tells Stripe which account, email address and metro the visit is for.
- Listing photos load directly from the image servers of the listing site that publishes them. Those servers see your IP address and browser details, as any website does, but our pages do not tell them which page you are on.
From our own pages, your browser also connects straight to other providers named under Who else handles it. When you ask for a sign-in code, it sends your email address to Supabase. While you are signed in, the Deals list and the metro setup page keep a connection open to Supabase, using your sign-in token, so they can update on their own. Error reports and page-load records go from your browser straight to Sentry.
Emails
Our own emails come from a netspositive.com address and are sent through Google Workspace (Gmail). Stripe also sends some for us, listed last. We send:
- Sign-in codes, only when you ask for one. The email holds your code and no links.
- An invitation, only if we set up an account for you. It lists the metros we give you free access to and tells you how to sign in, and it comes again only if we resend it before you have signed in. For a metro whose listings are ready, it can show its numbers and take the place of that metro's welcome email. Replies come straight to us; reply if you would rather we delete the account.
- A welcome for each metro, sent once, as soon as the listings of a metro on your account are ready. When a metro is ready the moment you subscribe, the email confirming your trial or subscription is its welcome. It may greet you by your first name: the one we were given if we set up your account, or the one Google shares if you signed in with Google. Replies come straight to us.
- Billing emails, if you start a trial or subscription: a confirmation of what you signed up for, with its price and how to cancel; a reminder about 3 to 4 days before a trial ends; a notice after each charge; confirmations when you cancel, change your mind or a subscription ends; a notice if we can't give you a trial or we extend one; a yearly reminder of each subscription; and a notice before we start collecting tax, or before a change to our terms that affects you takes effect. Replies to them come to hello@netspositive.com.
- Free-access emails, if we give you free access: when we give it (unless your invitation already says so), before it ends and when it ends.
- Daily digests, only for saved searches where you turn on Notify daily. They list new matches in your metros. Each search is included at most once every 20 hours, and searches with new matches at the same time share one email, so if you have several searches you may sometimes get more than one digest in a day.
- Emails Stripe sends for us, if you have a trial or subscription: receipts for payments and refunds, a notice if a payment fails or your bank asks you to approve one, a reminder before your card expires and a reminder about your trial. They come from Stripe, in Stripe's own format.
We send no newsletters and no advertising. The emails we send from netspositive.com contain no images or tracking pixels, so we cannot tell whether you open them. Their links carry tags that tell us a visit came from one of our emails. Links in an invitation, and in a welcome or free-access email sent before you have signed in, can also carry your email address, so the sign-in page can fill it in; the page then removes it from its address, and it is left out of our analytics and error reports. Like any web address, it still reaches our host's request logs (see Server logs, above).
To stop digests, untick Notify daily on your Saved searches page, or delete the search. Every digest links to that page. Sign-in codes come only when you ask for one, an invitation only if we set up your account, and each welcome is sent once. Billing and free-access emails come while you have a trial, subscription or free access, because they tell you about charges and your access, and they stop when those end. To stop all email from us, ask us to delete your account: we cancel your subscriptions first and email you to confirm they have ended.
Text messages
We don't sell your mobile number or your consent to texts, or share them with anyone for marketing.
Texts are optional, and only US mobile numbers can get them. If you add your number in Account & billing and agree to get texts, we text it a code to confirm it. After that, we text you an alert when a new listing nets positive in a saved search you turn texts on for. An alert can carry your saved search's name and a listing's address, price and what it nets, with a link to it. Apart from the code, and an answer when you text us STOP, START or HELP, we text only a number a code has confirmed, and only while its texts are on. The people who run NetsPositive also get service alerts. Our texts go out through Twilio (see Who else handles it).
To stop texts, reply STOP to any of them, or turn texts off in Account & billing. A STOP holds for the number, whichever account it is on, until you reply START from it. To stop one search's texts, untick Text me on your Saved searches page. A STOP, CANCEL or other opt-out reply stops texts only: it doesn't cancel a subscription (see Cancelling in our Terms of Use). We also stop texts to a number when its carrier tells us it can't get them, and on your account when the number is confirmed on another one. For help, reply HELP or email hello@netspositive.com.
Alerts wait from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. in your time zone, which your browser gives us when you turn texts on; you can update it in Account & billing. If we don't have it, we use the time zone of a home the alert is about. Service alerts to the people who run NetsPositive keep these hours in their own time zone once they set it, and can come at any hour until they do, as can a test alert one of them sends.
Who can see your information
Other users cannot see your account, saved deals, notes or searches.
The people who run NetsPositive can. We have full access to our database and our mailbox. Our admin pages list each account's email address and role; its metros, with whether each is paid, in a trial or free, its price, its dates (when a trial ends, when it renews or ends, when free access ends) and who gave free access, and any refused trial, second subscription to the same metro, refund or card dispute; its subscription status and next charge date; whether it has had a free trial; its customer record in our Stripe account; which version of our terms it accepted and when; when it signed up and last signed in, how many times it has signed in and how many searches it has saved; how it found us (the campaign, the website that sent it and the page it landed on); and whether, when and by whom we invited it, and whether the invitation went out. We can download that list as a spreadsheet file. Our admin pages also list the people we know and may invite, with what we keep about them and whether we have invited them. They also list the billing emails we sent recently, with who each went to, what kind it was and when it went out, and the texts we sent recently, with the last four digits of the number each went to, what kind each was, when we sent it and whether it was delivered. They also show the replies to our texts that need an answer (any reply but STOP, START or HELP), and any STOP or START we haven't been able to act on yet, with the last four digits of the number each came from and the start of the reply.
For one account, or for the email address of an account that has been deleted, our admin pages also show, and let us download, its records: each record of what it agreed to (the words we showed, the box ticked, the versions of our terms and this policy, and the email address, IP address and browser's user agent at the time and, for texts, the mobile number), each cancellation, each time its texts were turned off, the checkouts it started with Stripe's record that it accepted our terms, its subscriptions with their dates, and its most recent sign-ins with when they happened, how, and their IP address and user agent. We use them, for example, to answer a payment dispute.
Our Stripe account shows us your billing details, such as your name, billing address, card brand, last four digits and expiry, payments, invoices and refunds. Notes marked “Private to you” are private from other users, not from us.
Google Analytics shows us visits by a random ID, never by your name or email address. If you allow Microsoft Clarity, we can watch its recordings of your visits to our front page, Pricing and Homes for sale pages, with what you type and the parts about your account masked (see What we collect).
How long we keep it
- Your account, sign-in records, how you found us, the free access we give you and the properties you opened during a free look: for as long as your account exists.
- Saved deals, notes and searches: until you delete them or your account is deleted.
- If we know you, what we keep about you to invite you (above): until we take you off our list, which we do if you ask. Deleting your account does not remove it.
- Billing records (each subscription's metro, price, status and dates, the card's brand and last four digits, payments, refunds and disputes, the checkouts you started and the email address they were for): at least 7 years, for tax and accounting.
- Records of what you agreed to and when (our terms, each trial or subscription and each cancellation): for as long as your account exists, and at least 3 years after your last subscription ends or your account is deleted, whichever is later.
- The record that an account, card or email address has had a free trial, or that an account or email address has had free access: 7 years after that trial or free access starts.
- Billing emails we sent you (who they went to, when and what they said): 3 years.
- Your mobile number and time zone: until you remove the number or delete your account, or the number is confirmed on another account. The number also stays in the records of turning texts on and off and, if we're asked to stop texting it, on the list of numbers we don't text, both below.
- Texts we sent you (the number, what they said, when and whether they arrived; never a code): 90 days, even after you delete your account.
- Your replies to our texts (the number they came from, what they said and when): 90 days, even after you delete your account.
- A number you enter but don't confirm, with what you agreed to when you entered it: until a day after its code expires, apart from the code text we sent it, kept as the texts above are.
- Records of turning texts on and off, with the mobile number: for as long as your account exists, and at least 4 years after the last text we send to that number.
- A number on the list of numbers we don't text, with when and how we were asked to stop: until a START reply comes from it, even after the number is removed or the account is deleted.
- What Google Analytics records about your visits: up to 14 months. After that, only its totals stay.
- Microsoft Clarity's recordings, if you allowed it: 30 days, except a random sample that Clarity keeps and any we mark to keep, which stay up to 9 months. The click data and heatmaps made from them: up to 9 months.
- What the Meta Pixel sent Meta, if you allowed it: as Meta's own policies say.
- Cookies: as listed under Cookies.
When an account is deleted, we first cancel its subscriptions and turn off its texts. Its account record, sign-in records, free access, free-look record, mobile number, saved deals and saved searches are then deleted from our database. Some records stay. Billing records, records of what you agreed to (for texts, with the mobile number), the free-trial record, billing emails, the texts we sent and the list of numbers we don't text stay for the periods above, with the email address or mobile number they were for but no longer linked to an account. Our sign-in provider's own activity log, which records your email address and the IP address of each sign-in, is not removed with the account and is kept under its retention settings. Emails we sent or received stay in our mailbox, and our other service providers keep their own logs and error reports under their own retention settings. What Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel collected is not linked to your account, so it stays for the periods above. Stripe keeps its own records of your payments under its privacy policy. A request to add a metro keeps a random account ID, but not your email address. If we know you, our list of people we know keeps your name and email address until we take you off it.

In the app you can rename or delete saved searches, turn daily email or texts on or off for each, unsave deals, and edit or clear notes.
In Account & billing you can add a metro, cancel a trial or subscription or undo a cancellation, update your card and see your invoices. The card and invoice pages are Stripe's. There you can also turn texts on or off, update the time zone they follow and remove your mobile number, and you can stop texts at any time by replying STOP to one.
Analytics and advertising tools. On Your privacy choices, linked at the foot of our pages, you choose what loads in your browser: All (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel), Analytics only (Google Analytics) or None. Until you choose, Google Analytics runs and Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel stay off. Our front page, Pricing and Homes for sale pages show a small cookie notice until you choose: “We use cookies for analytics and marketing.” Accept turns on all three tools, and Decline turns all three off and deletes their cookies on netspositive.com. For Google Analytics alone, choose Analytics only on Your privacy choices, which the notice's Privacy choices link opens. Saving a choice on Your privacy choices deletes the netspositive.com cookies of the tools it turns off, and our pages already open in other tabs of that browser follow it the next time you show them. Your choice is kept in a cookie in that browser, not with your account, so make it in each browser you use. Whatever you choose, Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, still counts page views.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as None, whatever you chose before: we load none of the three tools, and Your privacy choices shows “Opt-out preference signal honored”.
You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To change how Microsoft and Meta use your information for ads, use your Microsoft ad settings and your Meta ad preferences. To opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at once, use the Digital Advertising Alliance's aboutads.info/choices.
For anything else, email hello@netspositive.com from the address on your account, so we know the request is yours. You can ask us to:
- send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete your account. We cancel its subscriptions first, as our Terms of Use explain.
You can make these requests wherever you live. Some states give their residents these rights by law; we give them to everyone. We answer within 45 days. If we can't do all of what you ask, for example because the law requires us to keep billing records, we tell you why.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. There are no passwords to steal, and each sign-in code, like each code we text to confirm a mobile number, works once and expires soon. A bot check guards the sign-in page. Each account can reach only its own saved data, and admin pages are checked on our servers. Card payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to the highest level of the card industry's security standard (PCI DSS Level 1): your card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers. The messages our own code writes to logs leave out email addresses, mobile numbers, sign-in and text codes and payment details, though an unexpected database error can still include the details it was saving, in our host's logs and in an error report.
No way of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we cannot promise that yours will never be accessed without permission.
Children
NetsPositive is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has signed up, email us and we will delete the account.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers can send a Global Privacy Control signal, which asks the sites you visit not to sell or share your personal information. When yours sends one, we honor it in that browser: we load none of Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel, and Your privacy choices says the signal was honored. Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and shares nothing for advertising, still counts the visit.
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. NetsPositive does not change what it does when it receives one; to turn Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity or the Meta Pixel off, use Your privacy choices. Our own code does not track you across other websites. Other companies whose content loads on our pages, such as Google (for Google Analytics, the map, Street View and Google sign-in), Cloudflare (for the bot check) and, if you allow their tools, Microsoft and Meta, may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites under their own policies. We do not control what they collect.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as NetsPositive changes. When we do, we post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will also email the address on your account before the change takes effect, and show the new version here, linked from the top of this page, until then.
